Pelican Landing is a master planned community of 3,318 residences on roughly 2,365 acres of land nestled between Estero Bay, west of Tamiami Trail (US-41) and south of Coconut Road. It rides the boundaries of Estero and Bonita Springs, FL.
The community started with the first home built in 1989 and continued through the early 2000’s. Owners can now fully appreciate the mature plantings consisting of live oaks, pine trees, and cypress trees that are intertwined with winding roads and serve as canopies over neighborhoods.
There are 31 neighborhoods within the gates of Pelican Landing with styles including single family homes, villas, coach homes and mid-rise condominiums. Pelican Landing residents enjoy active, social lifestyles including a tennis center with 12 Har-Tru® courts, a fully equipped fitness center, six pickleball courts, two bocce courts and a community center where residents gather to play games and socialize. There is a kayak/canoe park on Spring Creek, three fishing piers, a butterfly garden, and a marina on Estero Bay where residents can check out sailboats and kayaks and enjoy complimentary sailing lessons.
With the exception of the country clubs and golf, access to all amenities is included with your annual HOA assessment, which also covers basic cable, internet and 24/7 privacy.
Golf at The Nest is an optional membership that gives access to two Tom Fazio designed 18-hole courses. The 50,000 sqft country club has been fully updated and members enjoy a robust social and dining calendar year- round.
The Fitness Center, located in the Community Center, is a Pelican Landing Community Association amenity. The Association maintains this 2,400 square foot, state-of-the-art Fitness Center equipped with cardiovascular and resistance equipment permitting both aerobic and strength training for a balanced exercise program. An array of classes are offered and private training is permitted in the facility.

Only accessible by boat shuttle from the community marina, it is located at the northern end of Big Hickory Island. Fully staffed year-round, facilities include restrooms, shower facilities, two pavilions, and a large screened in pavilion with deck. Beach chairs and umbrellas are provided daily. There is currently no food service on the island.
Open sailing, courtesy sailboat rides and free sailing lessons and qualifications sessions are available by appointment. Races and other activities are available, also.
The bocce courts for Pelican Landing are located behind the Community Center and can be reserved daily from 8am-4pm. Residents may reserve a bocce court up to three days in advance by visiting the Community Center front desk. For all other hours, bocce courts can be used by those who have their own equipment on a first come, first served basis.
The Tennis Center features 12 newly renovated courts, seven lighted for night play, and a full-time professional to oversee tournaments, league play, clinics, lessons and social events. Twelve newly renovated Har-Tru® tennis courts are available to residents and their guests seven days a week. Tennis is a robust activity within the community including seven lighted courts for night play and a full-time professional to oversee club events such as tournaments, resident tennis socials and league play. Lessons are also available.
Located on Pelican's Nest Drive, the canoes and kayaks are for residents to use on Spring Creek. Wind and weave through the quiet creek that leads to Estero Bay. The Canoe Park includes a launch, docks, scenic boardwalk, and picnic area. In addition, there are canoe/kayak racks for resident-owned vessels.
